Lauren is an extremely talented UX designer. I had the great pleasure of working with her on the board of UXPA International for three years. When she was the Director of Marketing and Communications, she did an outstanding job standardizing all the UXPA International branding, including materials for presentations, the website, and print. When she moved to the Director of Web position, she led the transition from our old website to a new site in WordPress (which she did on top of the work needed to maintain the old UXPA site). As part of this large effort, she reviewed all the content, got input from users, led the redesign effort, and established standards for the user interface. She managed a contractor who did much of the development work, but she also did a lot of the coding herself. Her work resulted in a site that is cleaner, more consistent, more stable, and more secure. She is also very knowledgeable about how cognitive biases can impact design efforts, an issue that is important, but often doesn’t get enough attention. It has been my pleasure to work with Lauren on the board and I hope we can work together again in the future.
